Fun Chats with the Crazy Cat Lady (aka the MIL)

Don’t you hate when you think a day home alone with the dogs is going to involve much needed napping, a little Breakfast at Tiffany’s but probably a lot more napping … and then like clockwork the snow globe of your life gets a big fucking shake and there is no one home to amuse you while you wait for the final flake to drop … so what’s a girl to do you ask, call her mother-in-law of course for some of her words of wisdom:

Me: I saw on Facebook that ‘so and so’ is on vacation 
MIL: No, they were there two weeks ago (trip synopsis omitted from post)
Me: Oh, the pictures were only posted a few hours ago today so I thought they were there
MIL: Maybe it takes two weeks for pictures to upload to the internet, does it take that long
Me: Yes! The internet became extremely popular for being slower than the Post Office
MIL: (with 30 yrs of my sarcasm under her belt, she knew she flubbed) You better not put that on your blog thing
MIL: I never have before, but oh I definitely am now … but don’t worry, it takes 2 weeks to upload and you will forget about it by then
