30 Day Selfie Challenge – Day 1

Due to something irrelevant, it has recently been brought to my attention that in this crazy era of ‘here’s my selfie, look at me, my food and everything else I’m doing that you’re not but lucky enough to witness through me’, I have chosen not to partake in the visual world of ‘my life looks fabulous in photos but really sucks the other 23 hrs and 59 mins of the day’ movement … however by taking the path less traveled, there are only about a dozen actual photos of me, mostly taken by my now 9 yr old or mother, in the last decade … so I started thinking if something happened to me tomorrow, and on the rare chance I don’t instantly become a literary icon after my death like Poe and Dickinson, there really isn’t much photographic proof of my adult years that my children will have to remember me by; or my husbands next wife for that matter which is important so she knows what the bitch looks like that is haunting her ass for trying to take her place … anywho, with that realization, I have self imposed a 30 day selfie challenge in which I will attempt to take at least one photo of myself everyday for the next month doing all the exciting and wild things I do through out my days as a photo diary of sorts for my children … during this experiment please try to hold the jealously to a minimum as you witness my extravagant sunny Southern California life style of glamorous school drop offs and pickups with numerous trips to both the grocery store and gas station … there may also be some big surprises like possibly me not in the same outfit or maybe wearing shoes or even me not only showered but with makeup on but I don’t want to give you too high of hopes for any of those things actually happening … so without further ado, here is Selfie Day One taken 3/2/16: Kids this is your mother sitting in the car at 2:25pm PST at the elementary school. I am 20 mins early as always and 1st in the pickup line because I have missed you all so much the the 6 hours we are finally apart, plus I have no where else better to be, I mean I would rather be. While I am waiting for Milan to come out of the gate beaming with love as she sees me, I’m taking my first selfie for you which apparently has a very weird effect on my lips but I’ll try and work on that during the next 29 days so you don’t remember me as looking like I just ate a lemon.
