The Official ‘AMERICAN PIE’ Challenge!

Since ‘Stomping the Flag’ is un-American and ‘Ice Buckets’ are against the CA emergency drought regulations …    today at 6:35 pm PST on Monday 5/11/15 here in the ‘Bu with water for pasta already starting to boil on the stove, I unintentionally created, then passed and am now issuing the official ‘AMERICAN PIE’ challenge! (actual pie optional)

The Rules are simpler than pie:

1. Take a car to your favorite supermarket and park
2. While still seated in your car, turn on Don McLean’s classic song ‘AMERICAN PIE’ (8:31 in length)
3. Any time after you hear the beginning of the first verse ‘A long, long time ago’: exit the car,  enter the supermarket, do your shopping, stand in line and checkout
4. Return to car in time to catch the last line ‘And singin’ this’ll be the day that I die’ of the last chorus
5. Continue with your life … That’s It!

Remember you only have 8:31 minutes to complete this social experiment and hey, if you successfully pass or not, you get groceries, some stupid silly fun and most importantly ‘..a story about America’, how can you lose; plus no videos, no donations, no ice and definitely no disrespecting the US Flag required, but possibly pie!

That is your sole challenge, should you choose to accept it …
